An exciting line-up of GMC models will be showcased at the Dubai International Motor Show (14-18 November 2017). GMC’s all-new 2018 Terrain and 2018 Yukon Denali will both make their appearances at the brand’s stand, while visitors at the show will also be able to view a new concept vehicle exclusive to the Middle East on display for the first time anywhere in the world.

It is fitting that the Middle East’s leading motor show will host the global reveal of the new concept vehicle. GMC can proudly point to a long and rich heritage in the Middle East, the only region outside North America where it is marketed. The brand, affectionately known across the region as ‘Jims’, entered the market in the 1930s with 4×4 and 6×6 vehicles that were specifically developed for desert use. Its range of pick-up trucks, SUVs and crossover vehicles are renowned for their capability, innovation and engineering excellence.

Sajed Sbeih, Head of Brand for GMC Middle East, said: “With GMC’s long-standing presence in the region, it was a logical step for us to choose to unveil this concept vehicle at the Dubai International Motor Show. We’re pleased to be able to give visitors to the show a real ‘world first’, as well as showcasing the all-new 2018 GMC Terrain and newly designed 2018 Yukon Denali.”

GMC confirms exciting line up for 2017 Dubai

A redesigned, second-generation version of GMC’s premium compact SUV, the all-new 2018 Terrain offers greater refinement and versatility and is packed with more standard and optional features and advanced safety technologies than ever before. The all-new styling signals the next chapter of the brand’s design language, evolving its signature cues with stronger, sharper and more sculpted elements. The all-new turbocharged engines include a 2.0L unit offering stronger acceleration and a higher degree of performance.

Also appearing at the show will be the 2018 Yukon Denali, featuring styling and trim enhancements, as well as a new, advanced 10-speed automatic transmission. Paired with the premium SUV’s 6.2L V-8 engine, this new gearbox enhances refinement with world-class shift smoothness, responsiveness and quietness, enabling a lower numerical top gear ratio and contributing to greater efficiency.

“GMC’s rise as a premium brand is very much reflected by the striking design and confident stance of the all-new Terrain, and this new design language is set to elevate the whole brand as it is applied across other models in the future,” added Sbeih. “At the same time, the Denali sub-brand continues to set the bar for GMC performance, technology and luxury, so the 2018 Yukon Denali is ideally placed to appeal to customers around the Middle East.”

The Acadia range will complete the GMC line-up at the show, represented on the stand by the premium 2018 Acadia Denali. Also available as an All Terrain model with enhanced off-road capabilities, the GMC Acadia crossover is aimed at the heart of the midsize segment and designed to offer great versatility and refinement with more advanced safety technology and a more efficient powertrain, along with a legacy of functionality and spaciousness.
