Sweet Salvations

After a social media frenzy, it’s safe to say that Sweet Salvation has officially opened its doors in Dubai and is already causing a stir. Offering a menu of chef driven soft serve treats, shakes, hot beverages and cold brew from Dubai; Sweet Salvation is a welcomed addition to the popular City Walk district.

The Sweet Salvation concept is fresh out of its home city Toronto, Canada where it has been hugely successful and is growing quicker than you can say “soft-serve”. The man behind the brand is Andrew Richmond, CEO of Monarch and Misfits, an inventive, creative and passionate restaurant group taking Toronto’s food scene by storm and driving the ‘go hard with insane soft serve’ approach.

Having started from the idea that a dessert bar could be more than your everyday scoop of vanilla, the philosophy combines conceptual thinking with high quality soft serve ice cream.  With ten stores open and 14 more in the works, it’s no wonder that the brand has now expanded globally with its first opening Sweet Salvation in the Middle East. So, they must be doing something right, huh?

“The brand was formed out of a shared passion for creativity and food. It all started one night when a couple of staff combined clever thinking and soft serve in the kitchen of one of our restaurants to test out desserts, which then led to something unbelievable, yet so simple and is now being enjoyed across the globe.,” says Richmond.

Sweet Salvations ‘Pimped Out’ Soft Serve

Dare to go hard on pimped-out soft serve creations with unique toppings such as Bangin’ Brownie and Red Rapture which are both served looking very Instagram worthy. Purists can get in on the action too, with simple perfect swirls of Vanilla, Chocolate and Coconut.

A Dubai exclusive comes in the form of the Lotus Cookie cone with vanilla soft serve, date caramel sauce, lotus cookie crumb and chocolate sauce. If that doesn’t have you drooling then wait until you try the Sweet Salvation with its combination of vanilla soft serve, chocolate sauce, peanut butter caramel sauce topped with chocolate peanut crumble. When you try it, you’ll understand what they mean when they say #BlessYourMouth.

Rest assured Dubai, Summer may be over but ice-cream season is only just beginning.

Sweet Salvation is located on Al Mustaqbal Street, City Walk 2, Al Safa, Dubai.
