This is the third F&B concept from the house of ‘Back to Grills’ which has the Baked Chicken Wings brand ‘Desi Wings’ under its wings (no pun intended). Back to Grills brand is a family owned and operated business which is a joy and passion of three people who take their food very seriously. The flagship brand has been in existence for just over a year and have truly carved a niche for themselves. It’s during this short time they conceived the Baked Wings brand Desi Wings and now Canteen Asia. The young entrepreneurs love for the Asian Street food started early on during their regular travel to these regions. Each plate they tried inspired them, ingredients enticed them and fast forward many years, is the Canteen Asia love story.

Canteen Asia is primarily a Delivery only concept serving soups, salads, starters, mains, curries and a variety of rice options to choose from. They have a team of Chefs who have an extensive years of experience in street style Asian cuisine, using the best ingredients, homemade paste and spice mixes in additions to a few special in-house blends of herbs and spice.

South East Asian being vast and their culinary offering being extensive, curating a menu to appease the palates of customers here in Dubai was a challenging but rewarding task. Canteen Asia humbly prides of a menu selection which was curated by Chef Anish Mathew and Chef Annu George who co owns the brand along with George Ninan.  The tag team of Chef Anish and Chef Annu has been the brains, creative and innovative force behind the culinary excellence that comes out of their kitchen. Both of them are qualified Chefs from the globally renowned Institute of Hotel Management, Kovalam; backed up with 20 years hands on experience between them working in major global brands. They hit the drawing board as soon as the Canteen Asia concept was birthed, and one thing was clear, they did not want to be another food concept in town. They aspire to create their own niche through the brand, a south East Asian soul food, street style and they want the brand to do the talking, their flavors to touch the diners heart. Unending tasting sessions, tweaking the ingredients each time to perfect the dish, playing around with combinations that was never tried before Canteen Asia has been a pure joy for these amazing people who love food, bringing Asian on a plate for you.
