The whole world is moving towards organic food and not without reason. There are lots of researches happening across the globe and much concern is being raised about the quality of food we consume everyday and the risks associated with consuming processed meats and genetically modified food products. This has created a global movement and shift towards organic and healthy dining. Dubai too has joined the global bandwagon and is pushing towards inception of more organic, vegetarian and vegan dining concepts that are accessible and affordable for all This explains the sudden surge in demand and supply of organic restaurants in the country.
Let’s organic restaurant and cafe is a brand new concept of 100 percent organic food that was recently established in Dubai at Ferdouz complex, Al Wasl, Jumeirah. Ever since inception, the cafe has gained great popularity within the people living in the community and also from other Emirates.
Blogliterati.com recently had an opportunity to visit the cafe for a review. The team experienced a truly fascinating and guilt free dining adventure – one of the best in recent times. The collab was between blogliterati.com and Blogger and healthy food expert and home cook Anupa Mathews of Saffron Bowl.
We visited the restaurant on Wednesday and spent two hours at the totally chill-out and soothing milieu of the organic cafe. Great thought has been put into the layout and interiors of the cafe. With lots of faux plants and trees lining the interiors, ceiling and even the dining tables, it gives the feel of being in a garden. Lighting is pretty good, thanks to the large glass facades on two sides. The seating has been carefully planned keeping in mind the Dubai covid regulations for safe distancing at cafes and restaurants. Every table has a hand sanitizer and the staff sanitize the table after every guest finishes their meal and before the table is used by a new guest.
The Food
Now going to the fare – which is the main highlight of Let’s Organic cafe. Every single dish right from the juices, starters, main course down to the desserts, are made using 100 percent organic food products and ingredients. This reflects in the taste and quality. Never have we in recent times tried out a cafe where every single dish we tried, perfectly stood out in terms of its uniqueness, taste, form, presentation and quality. Let’s Organic has ticked all the right boxes.
Drinks
We started off with some coffee and later their healthy drinks namely Centrifugation ( a heady mix of fresh orange, lime, finnochio and carrot) and a Carrot, Apple and Ginger smoothie. Both the drinks were remarkable. They were priced at AED 33 each which I think is quite reasonable for a healthy heady fresh drink of this quality.
In between the meals I also tried their Affogato espresso. The drink was basically a shot of espresso over organic affogato icecream. I highly recommend this drink and also share a tip. If you want to enjoy it as a drink instead of scooping out the ice-cream with spoons, gently mix the coffee completely with the ice cream and drink it. That way the bitterness of espresso is well balanced with the sweetness of ice cream giving it a very unique taste. .
Breakfast
Avacado Toast – Served with roasted pumpkin seeds, this is one remarkable brekkie dish to try. The fresh taste of creamy avocado over slightly hard homemade pumpkin dish is utterly appetizing. It was love at first bite with this dish.
Egg Benedict – With fresh bread, spinach, egg and sauce, this is a great and healthy breakfast to have full or proteins and energy to keep you going till your next meal of the day. We had already seen a lot of bloggers order this dish hence we tried it and no regrets at all. Very impressive it proved to be, and quite filling too.
Appetizers
In appetizers we had Fried Shrimp and Calamari (AED 50) and Shrimp Tartar (AED 45)
Fried Shrimp and Calamari – A very appetizing and apt dish that left us wanting more. The portion sizes were quite good for two to share so totally worth the price. The quality of the shrimps and calamari was definitely worth mentioning about. Organic certainly makes a big difference in every dish and it shows.
Shrimp Tartar – Probably one of the best Tartar I’ve ever tried it recent times. Not only the look and presentation but even the taste was as good as it looked. Simply creamy and yummy, it feasted the taste buds with every spoonful. We just couldn’t get enough of this dish and blogliterati.com highly endorses this dish as an absolute must try at Lets Organic Café.
Main Course –
Though we were already decently filled with the starters and breakfast indulgence, we got so tempted to order their Grilled Lamb Ribs, which is usually served with either French fries or salad. I had particularly told the waitress at the café that I wanted my lamb to be tender and juicy and I think the chef heard it from the kitchen 😊 In a few minutes I was served with one of the most delicious lamb ribs I’ve ever tried in this country. There were four decent sized lamb ribs which me and my dining partner Anupa shared. The knife just diced through the lamb like over cheese. It was tender, juicy, luscious and delicious. Totally worth the 75 dirhams rate they charge for the dish.
Desserts
Like they say, there is always room for desserts, we washed down our indulgence with tender coconut cake and chocolate tart. The cake had both coconut and white chocolate and tasted totally out of the world. There couldn’t have been a better way to finish such an amazing dining experience.
Final Verdict :
Overall I would give this café a 5/5. It ticked all the right boxes be it service, taste, quality or pricing. On that note, I should also mention that there is a general notion that organic food is very expensive. Well, believe us, it is not. Every dish is priced appropriately at Let’s organic café so we assure that it wont blow a hole in your wallet in any way. What ever you pay for at this terrific café is totally worth it. It is an experience not to miss and blogliterati.com highly recommends this café.
