Get set for an unforgettable night as the queen of melody Asha Bhosle takes center stage, performing live for audiences in Dubai on 3rd November 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre along with singer Javed Ali. This show takes even more precedence because this could possibly be her last show overseas.

At this concert, called ‘Rahein Na Rahein Hum, Mehaka Karenge,’ the iconic singer will be performing live to some of her all time favourites.

In a special press conference this morning, organized at Asha’s – her flagship restaurant in Wafi Mall, the legendary singer revealed the Friday concert could well be her last concert abroad. The singer who turned 84 last month even sang a line from one of her most popular song Oh mere sona re, on a special request from one of the media personnel.

The undisputed living legend of the Indian music scene, Asha Bhosle has done playback singing for more than a thousand Bollywood films. With over 12,000 songs in more than 20 languages to her credit, she etched a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s most prolific recording artist and won the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement award in 2001.

During the span of her illustrious career of six decades, she has received several distinguished awards and honors, both in India and abroad. In the year 2000, She was conferred with “Dadasaheb Phalke Award” for her outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. She also received “Padma Vibushan” – the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India, in 2008. Asha Bhosle is known to be the first ever Indian artist to be nominated for a Grammy award in 1997 for her collaborative effort with Ali Akbar Khan on the album “Legacy”.

The concert will also have Javed Ali belting out his popular melodies from movies such as Jodha Akbar and Delhi 6. Javed came into spotlight in 2007 for his song Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein from the Hindi film Naqaab. The song was a big rage during the release of the film. Since then, this young and versatile singer has dished out several highly popular numbers and currently does playback singing in more than 10 Indian languages.

Javed won an IIFA Award in 2009, in the category The Best Male Playback Singer for the song Jashn-E-Bahara from the film Jodhaa Akbar, and Screen awards in 2012 in the Best Playback Singer Category for the Title Track of the film named Ishaqzaade. He was also conferred with  Yash Bharti Samman- the highest prestigious award of the state of UP, India.
