Pascal Tepper’s newest branch opened its doors on March 15 this year at Four Points by Sheraton, Sheikh Zayed Road. It has the distinction of being the only licensed Pascal Tepper in the region.
Pascal Tepper’s French-focused menu includes baguettes, macarons, pastries, breads and a selection of teas. Main dishes are bavette a la parisienne and filet de saumon grillé aux lentilles du puy to fettucine à la crème de bolets and the traditional croque madame. The bakery operates 24 hours a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
The soul behind the restaurant is Master Baker Chef Pascal Tepper, who hails from a long tradition of French bakers and still insists on preparing the base ingredients for a wide range of breads and pastries at their hub in rural France. Chef Pascal, who was awarded the ‘Meilleur Ouvrier de France’ a lifetime achievement award acknowledging him as one of the country’s finest bakers.
This is not the first Bakery restaurant for the renowned chef who also has several more successful and popular branches of the international chain of Dine-in Bakery and Bistro within the United Arab Emirates.
What we tried
In Salads Mozzarelle de buffle, salade de lentilles vertes du puy
This was a refreshing salad – a delectable melange of buffalo mozzarella with Le Puy lentils, semi-dried tomatoes, vegetables, balsamic cream and drizzled with balsamic dressing. Taste was remarkable and definite love at first bite.
In Pasta Fettucine á la crème de bollets
Slow-cooked chicken breast immersed in porcini cream sauce and drizzles of Parmesan made for a great combination. The porcini cream made it a great treat for a mushroom lover like me. However I would have loved it if the consistency was little thicker – To be more specific, if the cheese level was bit on the higher side.
In the main course I had Filet de saumon grillé aux lentilles du puy while my colourful companion had Poitrine de poulet fermier, farrotto aux bolets.
I am a big salmon lover so I can vouch for the remarkable quality and taste that is a signature of Pascal tepper. With flavors spot on and the fillet grilled just to that perfect level, this dish was such a pleasure to eat. With a warm salad of du Puy lentils, artichoke, mushroom, balsamic onion, sun dried tomatoes and baby rocket, each carefully chosen and prepared to accentuate the taste of the fillet, this dish impressed both me and my colorful companion who is a trained chef from London.
Having a few bites of my dining companions dish – the corn fed chicken – I felt it was perfectly appetizing as well.
Dining at Pascal Tepper was overall an amazing experience. With remarkable food, impressive service and fair pricing, this place is sure to be a rocking success as has been all their other branches in Dubai. Out of doubt they deserve a full 5/5.
